On Thursday, December 19, 2019 Myrtle Beach Masonic Lodge #353 held an EA Degree at the Lodge. and conferred the EA Degree on Brother Anthony Holdaway, pictured (L) below, and Brother Sean Kenny (R). On Tuesday, December 10, 2019 Myrtle Beach Masonic Lodge #353 held its Annual Ladies Night and Open Installation of Officers. Some pictures taken during the dinner will be posted on the Gallery page shortly, and a wonderful Prime Rib / Chicken meal was enjoyed by all who attended. Thanks to all the Officers, Brothers and wives who helped with the cooking, serving and clean up.
At the Dinner Annual Awards were presented to two well-deserving Brothers who were voted as winners by their Brothers at the November Regular Communications meeting. These Awards were presented by RWB Dave Harrell. “Mason of the Year, 2019” was presented to Brother Ben Robbins (top picture), and Past Master of the Year” was presented to WM Greg Barsnica (lower picture). Congratulations Brothers!

At a morning Degree at the Lodge on Saturday, December 7, 2019 we added another Master Mason to to our Myrtle Beach Lodge #353 membership. Congratulations to Brother Edward Vanderbilt, Jr., pictured below, who was raised as a Master Mason at this Degree. We welcome Brother Vanderbilt to our Lodge and look forward to his participation in our meetings and events.

The furniture has been returned to the Lodge lobby, and the picture below shows how great everything looks with the finished mural and the new and updated seating area.

When one of the exterior lights burned out (literally “burnt”!) recently, the Lodge voted to replace both entrance lights, since the old ones were old, worn out, and no longer safe. Pictured below is one of the pair of new lights, installed recently on the front exterior. Another upgrade improvement to our Lodge. Looking good!

In November, our Brothers voted for the Mason of the Year Award recipient. Our late Brother Mike Williams, 2018 Stewart (pictured below) was chosen as the most deserving Brother for all he did for the Lodge before his untimely passing in April. We we were all honored to have known him and will remember him fondly.
Pictured below, our Treasurer, Brother Jim Jarrell took the Mason of the Year plaque to Brother Mike’s widow, Kim Williams and presented it to her from all our Lodge Brothers.
